What you may be dealing with

An injury changes more than your workout.

A sudden sprain and a tendon that aches after every session need different plans. The evaluation considers the injury, recent training changes and the strength, speed or endurance your sport requires.

01 /

A nagging overuse injury

Tendon, joint or muscle pain that flares with training and calms with rest, then returns.

02 /

A sudden setback

A sprain, strain or tweak during a game or workout and uncertainty about what to do next.

03 /

Returning after surgery or time off

You are cleared to move but not sure how to rebuild strength, confidence and conditioning.

04 /

Feeling not quite right

You can play, but you have lost power, range or trust in a joint.

Conditions we help with

Sports injuries we commonly see

Care is organized around the sport and the body region, since the same diagnosis looks different in a golfer and a lifter.

Return-to-sport progression follows your recovery, tissue healing and any medical restrictions.

  • ACL and other knee ligament injuries
  • Meniscus and patellofemoral pain
  • Rotator cuff and shoulder pain
  • Tennis and golfer's elbow
  • Hamstring, quad and groin strains
  • Achilles and patellar tendinopathy
  • Ankle sprains
  • Low back pain in lifters and golfers
  • Post-operative rehabilitation

Our approach

An approach built on load, not labels

We look at how much your body can tolerate now and how much your sport requires, then close the gap in stages.

  1. 01

    Assess

Mobility, strength, movement quality and symptom response, with attention to what your sport asks of you.

  2. 02

    Calm and restore

Hands-on care, dry needling when appropriate, and early exercise to settle symptoms and restore motion.

  3. 03

    Build strength

Progressive resistance training aimed at the specific weakness or deficit found in your evaluation.

  4. 04

    Rehearse the sport

Build speed, power, jumping and change of direction in stages that match your sport.

  • We prepare and submit superbills on patients' behalf for potential reimbursement.

Good to know

Common questions.

Do you work with athletes?

Yes. We help competitive and recreational athletes with lifting, running, court sports and golf. Your plan starts with your current capacity and the demands of your sport.

Can I keep training during rehab?

Often, with modifications. A key part of the evaluation is working out what you can keep doing safely and what to change for now.

Will you clear me to return to sport?

We assess strength, movement, symptoms and sport demands, and coordinate return decisions with your surgeon or physician when needed.

Can physical therapy help before surgery?

Sometimes. For some injuries, building strength and motion beforehand supports surgical recovery, and some problems improve without surgery. Your evaluation will help you understand your options.

Do I need a referral?

You can usually start with an evaluation without a referral under Florida's direct-access rules. Continuing care may require a referral, and insurance requirements vary; ask us about care requirements and your insurer about coverage.

How does payment work, and do you accept insurance?

We offer out-of-network and self-pay care, accept HSA/FSA cards, and bill Medicare directly. See our Insurance and Payment page for rates, superbills and plan-dependent reimbursement details.

How long are appointments?

Your evaluation and follow-up visits are full 60-minute, one-on-one sessions with the same physical therapist, with time for treatment, exercise and questions.
